My Journey

I’ve been experiencing the benefits of Yoga, Breathwork and Reiki since I was 21. So, I’ve had two decades of working out what supports me best. But, like most of us, I’ve not always been great at prioritising that.

Learning the hard way

I’ve arrived where I am today by learning the hard way, to be honest.  It took a while, but finally I recognised that my tendency to try and do everything myself, to not ask for help or to slow down, isn’t a strength. In fact, it was impacting my health, resulting in insomnia, exhaustion and stress.

I lost both my parents, started a business and became a Mum, within an incredibly intense 5-year period. I struggled with postnatal depression - and felt adrift without a real community of other local new Mums for support. I seemed to always be juggling expectations (my own and everyone else’s!). It was overwhelming.

Re-finding myself

But through my grief, I found my way back to those practices that genuinely help me. I began setting time aside for myself, and it helped me to function day-to-day.

These tools let me manage the ups and downs of life. They enable me to be present in my body, and to feel grounded enough to move through my grief at my own pace. They make me kinder, more patient and nurturing. To other people, yes. But also, to myself.

Reiki, Yoga and Breathwork have helped me find the space to grief in my own way, without judgement. They allow me to process my experiences and emotions, rather than hold them in and hide them. It’s been powerful, joyful, and pretty magical. And I am so passionate about being able to share these incredible tools.

My Offering

As a Reiki Master, experienced Yoga Teacher and Studio owner, so much of what I do now is about supporting connection and community. I believe in creating and holding space for people to learn to trust what they feel: for a balanced life, full of feeling and awareness.
